Direct update downloads
- Official app updates now download Thunder and Bulletin Studio directly from
  Thunder Digital's DigitalOcean Spaces storage, bypassing the website server
  for the large executable files. Only the small update manifest comes from
  thunderradarapp.net. Your saved update URL does not need to change.
- Older versions can install this transition release through their existing
  updater. Subsequent downloads use direct storage. Installing this version
  from the website also avoids the legacy updater download route.
- Direct downloads require the exact approved HTTPS host and versioned product
  path. SHA-256 verification, executable checks, size limits, staged reuse and
  rollback are retained. Redirects and arbitrary cross-host URLs remain blocked.
- If direct storage is unavailable, the app reports the error and leaves the
  running installation unchanged; it does not silently use website bandwidth.
- Update settings show the download source when a new release is available.

No telemetry or client tracking was added. Settings, activation, local data,
and radar behavior are unchanged. Existing experimental features and their
limitations from 2026.09.15.1 remain in effect.
